BOOKING INFORMATION AND CONDITIONS

There is a Waiting List in operation and potential students are priortised on a 'first come first served basis'.

To avoid disappointment, please familiarise yourself with the following information on Deposits and Cancellations.

DEPOSITS

I am unable to issue reminders and if the balance is not paid at the proper time; then I may offer the place to the next person on the waiting list.

  • The deposit per person per weekend / summer course is £50.00 or £20.00 per person per day
  • Reservation will be made for you on receipt of your deposit or full payment
  • The balance is due 4 weeks prior to the date of the Course
  • For bookings made four weeks or less in advance the full amount is payable on booking

Telephone, e-mail or text / WhatsApp to confirm that the period you require is still available and for account details to enable online banking or branch transfer payments. PLEASE IDENTIFY YOUR PAYMENTS WITH YOUR NAME. I will e-mail or send confirmation by return.

For the Studio Pottery Courses and the Beginners Throwing Course, all fees must be paid in full at the start of the Course or £50.00 in advance for the TEN sessions. One session tryout is possible before committing at a cost of £26, date to be arranged.

CANCELLATIONS
All courses are available at the time of writing; however, I reserve the right to cancel without notice and offer a refund or an alternative course. Any information you pass on to Shirley Stewart's Pottery Courses will remain confidential. It will not be divulged to any third party and you will not become part of a mailing list, unless you have specified otherwise.
  • For the Weekend Courses - fees are only refundable if a cancellation is made 4 weeks prior to the start of the Course
  • For Cancellations under 4 weeks - the deposit will be retained unless the vacancy is filled
  • No refunds are available for the Studio Pottery Courses - unless the vacancy is filled and absences may not be forfeited when notice is given 1 week in advance of session day. More details will be given upon enquiry/ booking a place.
As the Beginners Throwing course run per ten week term it will not be possible to provide alternative or extra dates or reschedule; all sessions must be taken within the given dates.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Please note that for the throwing workshops, pots cannot be completed in one session. Should you wish to keep unfinished pots or require my assistance in finishing them at an additional cost, then this could be arranged.
Alternatively students are welcome to return and finish/glaze their pots during any one of the courses listed or at a time suitable. Turning time will depend on the amount of work kept for finishing and the glazing session should last for no more than 2 hours to half a day.
Bisque fired work can be collected at a later date or posted at an additional expense.
